Skyhawks Prep For NE-10's At Brown
Providence, R.I. - Behind a first place finish from David Metzger (Ellington, Conn.) in the 3000 meter steeplechase, Stonehill posted a strong showing at the Brown Springtime Invitational in preparation for the upcoming Northeast-10 championships scheduled for next weekend at Bryant.
Torrey Price (Sleepy Hollow, N.Y.) also posted a win for the Skyhawks, blazing to the finish line first in the 100 meter dash in 10.96.
Freshman Kevin Gill (Brockton, Mass.) recorded a second place finish in the 800 meter event, posting a time of 1:55.11. Also finishing second in their respective events were Tom Woods (400 meter hurdles), the 4x100 meter relay team and Joe D'Agostino (high jump).
Tyler Guilmette (Longmeadow, Mass.) finished fourth in the triple jump, while Russell Miranda (West Warwick, R.I.) had a ninth place finish in the hammer throw.
Tom Kilby (Fall River, Mass.) collected a fifth place finish in the javelin with a throw of 52.40 meters.
