LOWELL, Mass.-- Four school records fell for the Stonehill men's outdoor track and field team on Saturday afternoon during competition at the UMass Lowell George Davis Invitational held on the Cushing Track.

Junior Dana Burbank (North Andover, Mass.) set a school mark in the 110 meter hurdles in winning the event with a time of 15.31, and he set a meet record in the high jump, taking top honors with a mark of 6 feet, 6 inches. Junior Derek Hebert (Rockland, Mass.) also set school records in the long jump (22 feet, 2 ¾ inches) and in the 400 meters (49.10), finishing fourth and fifth, respectively, in those events, while freshman Tyler Guilmette (East Longmeadow, Mass.) set a school record in the triple jump with a mark of 44 feet, 7 ¼ inches, good for fourth place in that event.

Junior Vinnie Williams (Springfield, Mass.) took top honors in the 100 and 200 meters, posting times of 11.20 and 22.40, respectively, while sophomore Keith Gill (Brockton, Mass.) qualified for the New England Championships and provisionally qualified for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships by winning the 1,500 meters in a time of 3:53.95, nearly four seconds faster than sophomore David Metzger (Ellington, Conn.), who finished second. Freshman Torrey Price (Sleepy Hollow, N.Y.) was third in both the 100 and 200 meters with times of 11.36 and 22.88, respectively, while sophomore Thomas Woods (Medfield, Mass.) was second in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 56.92. The Skyhawk 4 X 100 meter relay team of Price, Woods, Williams and junior Kevin Dubuc (East Greenwich, R.I.) placed second in the event.

On the women's side, senior Erin Smith (Brockton, Mass.) and junior Dana DeIngenis (Cranston, R.I.) placed fourth and fifth, respectively, in the 3,000 meters with times of 10:22.40 and 10:24.08, respectively, while junior Colleen Burbank (Dedham, Mass.) was fourth in long jump with a mark of 17 feet, ½ inches.

Both Stonehill squads will travel to Cambridge, Mass. next Saturday morning to compete at the M.I.T. Invitational that begins at 10:00 a.m.
