North Andover, Mass. - A pair of freshmen and a pair of seniors played huge roles in Stonehill rallying for its first win of the season, a thrilling 10-7 come-from-behind win over host Merrimack (12-6, 5-1 Northeast-10) on Tuesday afternoon at Warrior Field.

Down 7-6 in the top of the seventh inning, freshman Chelsea Stryker (Baldwin, N.Y.) drove in two runs with a single to give Stonehill the lead and then sophomore Katy Abarr (Richmond, R.I.) added some insurance with a two-run base hit of her own.

The Skyhawks were in position for the win following a lights-out relief appearance from freshman Kaitlin Andrews (Hudson, Mass.), who tossed two innings of scoreless relief.

Senior Meghan Sheehy (East Islip, N.Y.) collected four hits and two RBI, while classmate Yesenia Marrero (Brockton, Mass.) blasted her tenth career home run among her three hits and three RBI.

In the first game, Merrimack's Jill Gagnon held the Skyhawks to one hit while striking out 12 en route to her seventh win of the season in a 5-0 win.

Abarr's single with one out in the third was Stonehill's only hit.

In addition to her pitching exploits, Gagnon drove in two runs with a double in the first inning.

Stonehill (1-15, 1-3 Northeast-10) continues its stretch of eight straight games on the road with a Saturday doubleheader at St. Anselm.
