Previous College: Attended Boston University in 2007-08, but did not play softball.

High School: 2007 honors graduate of The Prout School. Was valedictorian of her senior class. Four year letterwinner, serving as team captain senior year. Earned first team All-Division II South honors and named team MVP as a junior and senior.

Personal: Born January 21, 1989, in Warwick, R.I. Daughter of Daniel and Maureen Abarr of Richmond, R.I. Has a brother, Joe (23), who played baseball (catcher) at the University of Rhode Island. Majoring in neuroscience. One of 50 Stonehill students accepted into the SURE (Stonehill Undergraduate Research Experience) program, where she will work on a project titled Regulation of REM sleep by Brainstem Mechanisms, focusing research on the elucidation of the role of certain brain regions in the regulation of sleep and wake. Supports the Boston Red Sox. Lists Jacoby Ellsbury and Rocco Baldelli as favorite athletes.
