Nova Bats Too Much In 10-0 Loss

Kissimmee, Fla. - Nova Southeastern scored 10 runs on 10 hits and starter Dani Caron allowed only four hits while striking out seven as the Sharks recorded a 10-0 win over Stonehill in the Skyhawks second contest at the Rebel Games in Kissimmee, Fla.

Aiding Nova's attack were four Stonehill errors which accounted for five unearned runs.

Caron was also a monster at the plate, going 2-for-3 at the plate with an RBI and two runs scored.

Stonehill got a leadoff double from Yesenia Marrero (Brockton, Mass.) in the second and from Stephanie Folan (Glen Cove, N.Y.) in the sixth but both times failed to score.

Joining Folan and Marrero with hits were Lauren Rappoli (Wilmington, Mass.) and Gina Vivona (Seaford, N.Y.).

Kait Mendall (Middleboro, Mass.) took the loss for the Skyhawks, going 2.2, allowing five runs but only one of them earned.

Katie Mottau (Woonsocket, R.I.) finished up on the mound for Stonehill, going 4.1 giving up seven hits and four earned runs.
