Boen is entering his ninth year as an assistant coach for both the men's and women's cross country teams at Stonehill. He also is a member of the men's and women's track and field coaching staff where he coaches the middle distance and distance runners along with helping out in recruiting. In his time with the women's cross country program, Boen has been a part of seven-straight Northeast-10 Conference Championships (2013-19) and has also been to eight-straight NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships. On the men's side, Boen has helped coach two NE10 Championship squads along with eight straight NCAA Division II Cross Country Championship appearances. 

On the track and field side, Boen has helped coach the women's team to 12 NE10 Track and Field Championships including stretches of seven-straight indoor titles (2014-20) and four-straight outdoor championships (2016-19). For the men's team, Boen has coached on 2013 indoor track and field NE10 championship team and has helped the outdoor men's team post their best finish as runner-ups at the 2014 NE10 outdoor track and field championships.
