EASTON, Mass. (October 10, 2016) – Stonehill College men's cross country sophomore Lucas Taxter (Readville, Mass./Xaverian Brothers) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference's Rookie of the Week, the league office announced Monday.

Taxter assisted the Skyhawks in an 11th-place finish with 300 points at the New England Championship among 34 Division I, II and III teams at Franklin Park in Dorchester, Massachusetts on Saturday, October 8. The sophomore crossed the finish line with a career-best time of 25:22.3, good for 23rd place, making him the only Stonehill runner to make it in the top 25. 

Stonehill will take some time off as it prepares to host the Northeast-10 Conference Championship on Saturday, October 22 for its Purple and White event.
