2013: Competed in four races for Stonehill during his freshman season. Finished sixth overall at the Shacklette Invitational with a time of 27:52 in his first collegiate race (9/7). Followed that up with a 46th-place finish at the Codfish Bowl, clocking in at 27:45 (9/28). Ran to a 57th-place finish in 26:55 at the New England Championships sub-varsity race (10/12). Made his final appearance of the season at the NE-10 Championships, where he placed 25th with a time of 26:29 (10/27).

High School: 2013 graduate of La Salle Academy. Competed in cross country and track, earning All-Division honors in cross country as a sophomore, junior, and senior. Member of third place team at the New England Championships and second place team at State Championship in cross country as a sophomore. As a junior, All-State in the 4x8 event. As a senior, named All-State in cross country as a member of the La Salle team that finished second in the state and New England Championships.

Personal: Born April 24, 1995 in Providence, R.I. Son of Frank and Lisa Rego of Rumford, R.I. Has one sister, Chelsea (21), and one brother, Joey (13). Favorite team is the New York Yankees, and favorite athlete is Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter.
