Finished in 40th place and clocked in at 25:43 at the Minuteman Invitational 8k. Earned a time of 26:16 and a 141st place finish in the 8k race at the New England Championships.

2011: NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll (Both Semesters). Athletic Director's Honor Roll (Fall Semester). USTFCCCA All-Academic honoree. NE-10 All-Conference Third Team. Finished 17th overall at the NE-10 Championships with a season-best time in the 8-kilometers (25:08.21). Posted a time of 32:46.9 (10-kilometers) at the NCAA Division II East Regionals. Ran a time of 34:58.0 at the NCAA Division II National Championships (10-kilometers). Finished 31st overall and 10th among Division II competitors at the National Catholic Championships (8k, 25:32). Finished fifth overall with a time of 16:17 (5k) in his collegiate debut at the Trinity Bantams Invitational helping the Skyhawks to a team title. Placed as the top freshman finisher in the meet on 9/11. NE-10 Rookie of the Week (9/14).

Personal: Born September 3, 1992, Pelham, N.H. Son of Tom and Liz Fontanella of Pelham. Two brothers, Austin (22), who currently plays baseball at Emerson College, and Clint (13). Cross Country team's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee representative.
