Freshman finished ninth overall at 44th Annual Codfish Bowl

EASTON, Mass. (September 26, 2011) – Stonehill College freshman Daniel Gordon (Plymouth, Mass./Plymouth North) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference (NE-10) Rookie of the Week, it was announced earlier today.
Gordon collects his second Rookie of the Week honor this season (September 12) after leading the Skyhawks to a third place finish overall at the 44th Annual Codfish Bowl last Saturday in Dorchester, Mass. at Franklin Park.
The freshman covered the 8-kilometer course in 26 minutes and 23 seconds, a personal best so far this season, for ninth place overall among 286 competitors. Gordon finished third overall among Division II athletes and eighth overall against the collegiate field.
Stonehill returns to action on Saturday, October 8 at the New England Championships at Franklin Park in Dorchester, Mass. at 1:15 p.m.
