2010: Athletic Director's Honor Roll Spring Semester.NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll both semesters. NE-10 Weekly Honor Roll (9/21).

2009: NE-10 All-Conference Second Team. Placed 20th at UMass-Dartmouth Invitational. Sixth overall at USI Pre-National Invitational. Placed 102nd at New England Championship. Finished 10th overall at NE-10 Championship to earn an All-Conference Second Team selection. Placed 40th at NCAA Division II East Regional Meet.

2008: Placed 89th in the 8k at the Codfish Bowl (29:30). Placed 18th overall in the 8k at the New England Championships (25:09). Placed 13th in the 8k at the Northeast-10 Conference Championships (25:47.6), earning Second Team All-Conference accolades. Placed 18th in the 10k at the East Regional Championships (32:32.7). Finished 147th in the 10k at the NCAA Championships (35:01).

2007: Ran 29:13 for the 8k at the Fordham Invite. Finished 42nd in the 8k at the Connecticut College Invite (26:42). Placed 101st in the 8k at the New England Championships (26:47). Placed 61st in the 8k at the Northeast-10 Conference Championships (28:40).

High School: 2007 graduate of Newington High School. Four-year letterwinner in both cross country and outdoor track. Also lettered in indoor track and basketball. Earned Central Connecticut All-Conference honors in cross country. Member of the the two-time Conference Champions. Earned All-State honors in 2006. Collected All-New England Honors in 2006. Holds school record in 5000m. National Honor Society member.

Personal: Born February 24, 1989, Hartford, Conn. Son of Sanford and Elizabeth Pilz of Newington, Conn. Has two siblings, Theresa (23) and Kevin (17). Supports the New York Giants and lists favorite athlete as Kara Goucher.
