High School: 2009 graduate of Plymouth South High School. Four-year letterwinner in cross country and indoor and outdoor track & field. Voted captain of all three teams as a senior. Named an Atlantic Coast League All-Star as a junior and senior in cross country and track.

Personal: Born September 10, 1990, Plymouth, Mass. Son of Ruth and Michael O'Brien of Plymouth. Has two younger siblings, Greg (13) and Ben (12). Majoring in English with a minor in journalism. One of 49 Stonehill students accepted into the college's SURE (Stonehill Undergradaute Research Experience) program this summer, where he will work on a project titled The Brothers Karamazov as Test Case for a Theory of Literary Translation focusing on research that will examine the two most important translations of the text: the canonical one by Constance Garnett, revised by Ralph Matlaw and one by Richard Pevear and Larissa Volokhonsky.
