Josh Andrews went from a second-teamer a season ago, to first-teamer this year with his performance at the Northeast-10 Championship.

Skyhawks Second At NE-10's - Six Earn All Conference Honors

Colchester, Vt. - Sophomore Kevin Gill (Brockton, Mass.) turned in a second-place finish at the Northeast-10 Cross Country Championships but it wasn't enough to hold off a high-powered group of UMass-Lowell runners who had all five of their scoring runners finish in the top 12 to claim the outright championship on Saturday morning.

The River Hawks' Ruben Sanca, who finished second a year ago at the event, turned in a time of 24:33, and was followed by Gill's 25:04.

UMass-Lowell then had two more runners cross the finish line before another Stonehill participant, Josh Andrews (Chelmsford, Mass.) did helping seal the win.

Senior Matt Meagher (Mansfield, Mass.) and sophomore Dan Pilz (Newington, Conn.) wrapped up the event in 13th and 14th place, respectively and freshman Stephen Polito (Worcester, Mass.) was Stonehill's final scoring runner in 16th position.

Ben Rumery's 18th place finish did earn him Northeast-10 Third Team All-Conference honors.
