No. 7 Skyhawks Look To Take Flight At Keene State

Easton, Mass. - The Stonehill men will put their No. 7 national ranking on the line when they head to New Hampshire this weekend for the 13th annual Keene State Invitational.

The field will consist of teams from Assumption, American International, Fitchburg State, UMass Lowell, New England College, Wheaton, Tufts, Williams and Springfield.

The Skyhawks, which moved up one spot in the New England poll to No. 9, finished second behind NYU at last week's Connecticut College Invitational. Freshman Kevin Gill (Brockton, Mass.) was named Northeast-10 Male Freshman Runner of the Week after his 14th place finish at the event where he was the first freshman to finish. David Metzger (Ellington, Conn.) was the Skyhawks top finisher in sixth place.

In addition to Gill, fellow freshmen Dan Pilz (Newington, Conn.) and Jason Lynch (Lynbrook, N.Y.) have fared well in their appearances, while steady performances from senior captain Joe Ryan (Chelmsford, Mass.) has been the norm.

This race will be the final tuneup before Stonehill takes part in the New England Championships on Saturday, October 6th at Franklin Park in Dorchester, Mass.
