EASTON, Mass. (July 26, 2021) – The Stonehill College men's tennis program has been named one of 80 programs in NCAA Division II, including four from the Northeast-10 Conference, to earn All-Academic Team status from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), while three recent graduates have received ITA Scholar-Athlete status for recording a grade point average over 3.50 for the academic year.

Stonehill receives ITA All-Academic Team status for posting a team grade point average of 3.20 or above for the 2020-21 academic year. The Skyhawks receive the honors for the second-straight year, led by recent graduates Joey Conrod, Vincent Huynh and Aleksander Lazowski who are among 523 student-athletes from Division II, including 20 from the NE10, to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status for posting a GPA of 3.50 or above for the academic year.

Conrad who recently graduated with a 3.68 cumulative grade point average and bachelor's degree as a health science major at Stonehill, earns ITA Scholar-Athlete status for the second-straight year. He is a two-time Division II ADA Academic Achievement Award recipient that has been named to the NE10 Academic Honor Roll all eight semesters, receiving Academic Distinction status for having a semester GPA between 3.50 and 3.99, as well as the Athletic Director's Honor Roll all eight semesters at the College. Conrod received the Saint Thomas Aquinas, Patron Saint of Students, Medal for the first time this spring for having the highest cumulative GPA on the men's tennis team and collected the Stonehill Athletics Spring Junior Achievement Award in 2020.

Lazowski recently graduated from Stonehill with a 3.52 cumulative GPA and bachelor's degree as a marketing major at the College and earns ITA Scholar-Athlete status for the second-straight year. He has received the Division II ADA Academic Achievement Award and been named to the NE10 Academic Honor Roll, with Academic Distinction status for having a semester GPA between 3.50 and 3.99, as well as the Athletic Director's Honor Roll all eight semesters. Lazowski collected Academic Excellence status for the NE10 Honor Roll for having a perfect 4.0 GPA one semester and has been inducted to Alpha Mu Alpha honor society.

Huynh graduated from Stonehill last month with a 3.27 cumulative GPA and bachelor's degree as a management major and earns ITA Scholar-Athlete honors for the first time. The transfer from West Liberty University in West Virginia has been named to the NE10 Academic Honor Roll, with Academic Distinction status, as well as the Athletic Director's Honor Roll three semesters. Huynh earned All-Conference honors as a freshman at West Liberty.

Stonehill finished its 2021 season with a 1-9 record overall, including 1-8 in the NE10, making its Conference record matching 20th NE10 Tournament appearance. Nine of the Skyhawks ten opponents this spring were regionally ranked, and they reached the postseason for the third-straight year.
