Russell White Named NE10 Men's Tennis Player of the Week

Stonehill Men's Tennis sophomore Russell White was named NE10 Men's Player of the Week after a combined 5-1 record in singles and doubles play during a 3-0 week for the Skyhawks. He and sophomore Aleksander Lazowski teamed up for a 3-0 week at No. 2 doubles and then White added a 2-1 mark at No. 3 singles. White was a double-winner in Stonehill’s victories over Oneonta and Cedarville. In the 6-1 win over Oneonta, he and Lazowski registered a 6-3 win at No. 2 doubles for the Skyhawks and then he posted a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 3 singles against freshman Dalton Capobianco. White and Lazowski teamed up for Stonehill’s lone doubles win against Cedarville with their 6-4 decision, and then provided the match-clinching point for the Skyhawks by battling past Cedarville freshman Timmy O’Brien 7-6 (7-5), 3-6, 10-8 at No. 4 singles.
