EASTON, Mass. (April 22, 2014) – Three members of the Stonehill College men's tennis team have earned postseason honors from the Northeast-10 Conference the league announced on Monday.

Junior Jared Drzal (West Sayville, N.Y./Sayville) leads the All-Northeast-10 performers for Stonehill by collecting third team honors for both No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles along with senior Nick Hyzak (Guilford, Conn./Guilford). Junior Eric Ringstad (Fairbanks, Alaska/Monroe Catholic) rounds out the All-Northeast-10 performers for the Skyhawks with third team honors at No. 2 singles.

Drzal earns the first two All-Northeast-10 honors of his career, having posted a combined 31-10 record in singles and doubles play during the 2013-14 season for Stonehill. He has posted a 15-4 singles record, including 8-2 in NE-10 matches, seeing time at No. 4, 5 and 6 singles over the course of the season. Drzal posted 6-2 records at No. 5 and 6 singles to go with a 3-0 clip at No. 4. He and Hyzak are 12-6 this season, posting a 7-2 mark in NE-10 matches and a 6-2 clip at No. 3 doubles.

Drzal has posted a career combined singles and doubles record of 56-19 (.747) over his three seasons at Stonehill, including a 21-8 (.724) mark in NE-10 play. He has posted a 29-9 (.763) career singles record, including 11-5 (.688) in NE-10 matches, to go with a 27-10 (.730) career doubles record, including 10-3 (.769) in league play. Drzal has been named to the NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll four semesters and Athletic Director's Honor Roll three semesters over his career.

Hyzak earns All-NE-10 honors for the second time in his career after being named to the second team for No. 2 doubles as a sophomore along with Ringstad his playing partner at the time. Hyzak, an NE-10 All-Rookie Team pick as a freshman, has posted a career combined record of 122-70 (.635) in singles and doubles play over his career, including a 53-25 (.680) record in NE-10 matches. He is 63-33 (.656) over his career in doubles play, including 28-11 (.718) in Conference matches. Hyzak earned NE-10 Academic All-Conference honors as a sophomore and been named to the NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll six semesters and Athletic Director's Honor Roll two semesters over his career.

Ringstad, the 2012 NE-10 Rookie of the Year, earns All-Northeast-10 honors for the third time in his career with his second singles award after being named to the second team for No. 2 doubles, along with Hyzak, and third team at No. 1 singles his freshman year. He has posted a 12-8 singles record this season, including 6-4 in NE-10 play, with all his matches coming at No. 2 flight.

Ringstad, also an NE-10 All-Rookie team pick his freshman year, owns a career combined record of 82-63 (.566) in singles and doubles play over his three years, including a 35-25 (.583) in NE-10 matches. He is 43-29 (.597) over his three seasons in singles play, including a 19-11 (.633) NE-10 mark. Ringstad has been named to the NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll and Athletic Director's Honor Roll three semesters at the College.

Stonehill (12-8, 6-4 NE-10), ranked ninth in the most recent Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division II East Regional rankings, is seeded fifth for the Northeast-10 Tournament which gets underway with a first round clash at fourth-seeded Adelphi University this afternoon at 2 p.m. The winner advances to Thursday's semifinal round to face top-seeded Merrimack College at 2 p.m. The NE-10 Championship is scheduled for Saturday at 1 p.m.
