Tennis Improves To 7-3 On The Season

The Stonehill men’s tennis team continued their strong play in Hilton head taking down Tiffin 9-0 on Friday and beating Malone 9-0 on Thursday after losing 9-1 to Brevard on Tuesday, improving their record to 7-3.

Tim Fayed (Glastonbury, Conn.) was the only Skyhawk to go undefeated over the three game stretch, winning 6-0,6-0 on Friday, 6-4,6-2 on Thursday and providing Stonehill’s only victory against Brevard with a 7-6, 6-3 win. Fayed also claimed victories in No. 1 doubles with Mike Maskevich (Framingham, Mass.) in both 9-0 victories.

Also playing well for the Skyhawks was No. 6 singles Jon Burke (Wakefield, R.I.), who won 6-1, 6-0 on Friday and 6-0, 6-0 on Saturday as well as taking both matches in doubles play.
