Easton, Mass. - Stonehill wrapped up a grueling stretch of matches with a convincing 8-1 win over visiting Le Moyne on Sunday afternoon at the Sally Blair Ames Sports Complex, extending its winning streak to seven straight.

With the win, the Skyhawks improve to 12-3 overall and 6-0 in the Northeast-10, while the Dolphins slip to 4-9 overall and 2-5 in league action.

Due to a rainout on Thursday afternoon, the Skyhawks played conference matches at Bentley on Friday, at St. Michael's on Saturday and then today's home match with LeMoyne.

In today's victory, sophomore Tim Fayed (Glastonbury, Conn.) posted an easy straight set win at No. 1 singles, defeating Daniel Sullivan, 6-0, 6-0. Junior Michael Maskevich (Framingham, Mass.) rolled to a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 2, while Mike Leone (Cataumet, Mass.) recorded a 7-6 (7-3), 6-0 win at No. 3.

Jason Allegretti (Lincoln, R.I.) also had a straight set win at No. 4, besting Andrew Gleason 6-3, 6-1, while Will Herchel (Hampden, Mass.) had a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 5.

Doubles went just as smoothly for the Skyhawks as the combinations of Fayed/Maskevich (8-4), Allegretti/Herchel (8-4) and Leone/Jon Burke (Wakefield, Mass.) (8-5), all post victories.

Stonehill returns to action on Wednesday when the Skyhawks host Assumption beginning at 3:30 p.m.
