EASTON, Mass.-- Senior Andy DeVita (Milford, Mass.) was a winner in both singles and doubles action as second-seeded Stonehill presented Head Coach Peter Miller with his 200th career victory in a 5-0 dual-match triumph over seventh-seeded Pace in quarterfinal round play of the 2007 Northeast-10 Conference Men's Tennis Championships Thursday afternoon on the Stonehill Courts.

The host Skyhawks, who tied the school single-season record for wins set during the 2006 campaign in improving to 15-4 overall on the spring, advance to Saturday's conference semi-finals to take on third-seeded Bentley (11-9) at Bryant University's Tennis Complex in Smithfield, R.I. at 3:30 p.m., as the Falcons advanced with a 5-1 quarterfinal round triumph over sixth-seeded Merrimack.

DeVita and sophomore Jason Allegretti (Lincoln, R.I.) were straight set winners in singles play for Stonehill, as Allegretti and sophomore Will Herchel (Hampden, Mass.) teamed up for an 8-5 win at number one doubles while DeVita and freshman Mike Leone (Cataumet, Mass.) posted an 8-2 triumph at number three doubles. Senior Matt Grabala (Bristol, Conn.) and freshman Mike Mashkevich (Framingham, Mass.) collected the other Skyhawk point of the day with an 8-3 victory at number two doubles, giving Miller his 200th career triumph in his 27th season as his alma mater's head coach.

The visiting Setters end their season at 6-10 overall.

Stonehill posted a 6-3 victory over Bentley in the regular season match-up between the two teams back on March 23rd in Waltham, Mass. Saturday's other semi-final will pit fourth-seeded Bryant against the winner of Friday's last quarterfinal between top-seeded Assumption and eighth-seeded Southern New Hampshire, and the two semi-final winners will meet for the 2007 Northeast-10 crown Sunday morning at 11:00 a.m.
