RINDGE, N.H.-- The Stonehill men's tennis team notched its seventh straight victory overall and its third straight sweep with a 9-0 Northeast-10 Conference dual-match triumph over Franklin Pierce on the FPC Courts.

Senior Matt Grabala (Bristol, Conn.), sophomore Will Herchel (Hampden, Mass.) and freshmen Mike Mashkevich (Framingham, Mass.) and Mike Leone (Cataumet, Mass.) were winners in both singles and doubles play for the visiting Skyhawks (8-1, 4-0 Northeast-10), while senior Andy DeVita (Milford, Mass.) and junior Michael Allen (Norwell, Mass.) chipped in with straight set victories at the number five and six singles spots, respectively. Herchel teamed up with sophomore Jason Allegretti (Lincoln, R.I.) for an 8-6 win at number one doubles, while Leone and sophomore Dustin Marshall (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) also posted an 8-6 triumph at number three doubles for Stonehill.

The host Ravens fall to 1-3 both overall and in Northeast-10 play with the setback.

Stonehill heads to Colchester, Vt. on Saturday afternoon to take on Saint Michael's in a Northeast-10 dual-match that begins at Noon, while Franklin Pierce heads to Worcester, Mass. on Saturday afternoon to square off with Assumption in a Northeaste-10 outing that begins at 1:00 p.m.
