EASTON, Mass.-- The Stonehill men's tennis team picked up its fifth straight victory overall and remained perfect in Northeast-10 Conference play by posting a 5-4 league dual-match victory over Bentley Thursday afternoon on the Stonehill Courts.

Junior Andy DeVita (Milford, Mass.) and freshmen Jason Allegretti (Lincoln, R.I.) and Will Herchel (Hampden, Mass.) were winners in both singles and doubles play on the day for the host Skyhawks (9-2, 5-0 Northeast-10), as Allegretti netted a key three-set triumph at the number four singles spot and combined with junior Matt Grabala (Bristol, Conn.) for an 8-4 win at the number two doubles position. DeVita and Herchel each posted straight set wins at the number five and six singles spots, respectively, for Stonehill and combined for a 9-7 triumph at number three doubles.

Juniors Greg Maloomian (Needham, Mass.) and Greg Avola (Framingham, Mass.) were winners in both singles and doubles action in the setback for the visiting Falcons (7-6, 3-1 Northeast-10), as Maloomian won a three-set decision at number one singles and the duo combined for an 8-1 triumph at number one doubles. Freshman Miles Holman (East Longmeadow, Mass.) accounted for Bentley's other point of the match with a straight set win at number three singles.

Stonehill hosts Southern New Hampshire in a Northeast-10 dual-match on Saturday afternoon on the Stonehill Courts beginning at 1:00 p.m., while Bentley hosts Franklin Piece in a Northeast-10 outing on Saturday afternoon in Waltham, Mass. that begins at 2:00 p.m.
