Northeast-10 Announces Men's Soccer All-Conference Teams

EASTON, Mass. (October 31, 2018) – The Stonehill College men's soccer defensive duo of junior Keegan Nutt and freshman Eben Degbor were named to NE10 All-Conference teams, as announced but the league on Wednesday.

Nutt was named to the NE10 All-Conference third team, while Degbor was tabbed on the NE10 All-Rookie team, as they both receive their first NE10 honors.

Nutt was not only a defensive force on the field, but he also led the Skyhawks in goals for the season. The junior tallied five goals this year, a career high, while he chipped in one assist for a career-high 11 points. The Easton, Massachusetts native also tallied the only penalty kick and goal of the season against Le Moyne College in the first week of October. Nutt later notched the game-winning goal in a double overtime 1-0 shutout against Saint Anselm College for his second game-winning tally of his career.

The junior has appeared in all 51 games since he started in Purple and White starting 48 of the games. He has combined for seven goals and four assists for 18 total points.

The 2016 graduate of Oliver Ames High School, he was named All-League Honorable Mention his freshman year and All-League first team his sophomore year. He was also named Hockomock All-Star and Brockton Enterprise All-Star junior year, while being tabbed as Hockomock All-Star, Brockton Enterprise All-Star, Boston Globe Player of the Week, and Eastern Massachusetts All-Star senior year.

Degbor receives his first NE10 All-Conference recognition as he was named to the All-Rookie Team. The freshman, along with Nutt, was a key defensive piece to the unit that recorded five shutouts this season, the most in a season since 2006 when the team registered six shutouts. Degbor chipped in his first-collegiate goal against Holy Family University, the first game of the season where the Skyhawks won 2-0. He also picked up his first-collegiate assist against Roberts Wesleyan College.

The freshman was named NE10 Rookie of the Week in week seven as he helped the Skyhawks to a dominating 4-0 shutout against Bentley University and fell 2-0 to Saint Michael's College. Degbor appeared and started in all 16 games this season as a center back for the Purple and White.

The Norton, Massachusetts native is a 2018 graduate of Norton High School where he was a four-year letter winner in soccer. He was a three-time Tri-Valley League All-Star, a two-time Eastern Massachusetts All-Star, a two-time Taunton Gazette All-Star, and a two-time Sun Chronicle All-Star.

Stonehill concluded the season with a 6-8-2 overall mark and a 5-7-1 Conference record, just missing out on playoffs.
