EASTON, Massachusetts (October 15, 2018) – The Stonehill College men's soccer team freshman defender Eben Degbor earned Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday.

Degbor has been a strong force for the Skyhawks this season with his first season in Purple & White, as he has started in all 12 games in the back line. This past week, Stonehill recorded its fourth shutout of the season with a 4-0 victory over Bentley University, and fell to Saint Michael's College, 2-0.

Degbor held the Falcons scoreless in 90 minutes of action, as he was involved in every minute of play. The freshman has been a part of the four-man defensive line that has been a force in four shutouts this season.

He was able to hold Saint Michael's College to two goals, as the Skyhawks were unable to capitalize on a shot falling 2-0.

The Norton, Massachusetts native has also scored one goal and one assist this season. He scored his first-collegiate goal in a 2-0 non-conference victory over Holy Family University in the season opener, while he recorded his first-collegiate assist in a 4-2 loss against Robert Wesleyan College.

Stonehill (5-6-1, 4-5-0 NE10) hosts Saint Anselm College (0-9-2, 0-7-2 NE10) on Wednesday, October 17 on Skyhawk Field with a start time of 3:00 p.m. before hitting the road for two games, one against the University of New Haven on Saturday, October 20 and one at Assumption College on Tuesday, October 23.
