MANCHESTER, N.H. (September 3, 2016) - The Stonehill men's soccer team fell in the Catholic Cup championship, 1-0, against Saint Michael's College Saturday afternoon in Manchester, New Hampshire.

With the loss, Stonehill (1-1) has now reached the Catholic Cup Championship three of the four years since the tournament started in 2013. Saint Michael's (2-0) has topped the Skyhawks twice in the championship match, with the last time being 2014 when the Purple Knights defeated Stonehill, 2-0.

As a result of a 1-1 weekend of play, three Skyhawks were named to the Catholic Cup All-Tournament Team. Junior Adam Branco (Naugatuck, Conn./Naugatuck) recorded two goals in two games and had eight of nine balls be shots on goal.
