Skyhawks fall to 1-5-0 overall on the road

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (October 15, 2011) – The Stonehill College men's soccer team was handed a 2-0 loss by Le Moyne in Northeast-10 Conference (NE-10) action on Saturday evening at the Niland Athletic Complex.

Le Moyne midfielders Casey Murphy (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) and Alexander Lautner (Munich, Germany/Theodolinden Gymnasium) deposited goals two minutes and 57 second apart from each other to lift the Dolphins.

Murphy's tally came at 74:22 as the freshman headed home a cross from teammate Jesse Carr (Skaneateles, N.Y./Skaneateles) directly off of a corner kick, one of Le Moyne's 11 corners in the contest, for a 1-0 advantage and his third marker of the season.

Moments later, Lautner took a Zachary MacNabb (Clay, N.Y./Cicero-North-Syracuse/UNC Pembroke) cross and fired a shot into the lower right corner of the net past Skyhawks goalkeeper Adam Colella (Wilmington, Mass./St. John's Prep.) for a 2-0 lead.
