Junior forward is Stonehill's first All-Region selection since 1994
EASTON, Mass. (December 10, 2010) – Stonehill College junior Michael White (Lisbon, N.H./Lisbon Regional) has been selected to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division II All-East Region second team. With his first career nomination, White becomes the Stonehill men's soccer program's first All-Region honoree since 1994.
White led the Northeast-10 Conference with nine goals and 22 points during the regular season, earning his first nomination to the All-Conference second team and helping the Skyhawks qualify for their first postseason appearance since 1999.
During the final week of the season, White scored twice as the team went 2-0-1 down the stretch, including netting the game-winning first strike in a 2-0 upset of regionally-ranked Le Moyne. He notched two multi-goal games during the season, and converted a penalty kick for the eventual game-winner in Stonehill's 2-1 victory over Saint Anselm College, their first win over the Hawks since 2004.
The nomination is White's second regional honor of the season, after he earned his first career selection to the Daktronics All-East Region squad last month.
Stonehill concluded the season at the NE-10 quarterfinals, posting an overall record of 7-8-2.
