Shigo Selected to Play in NEISL Senior All-Star Game

Senior midfielder helped lead Stonehill to first postseason appearance since 1999

EASTON, Mass. (November 24, 2010) – Stonehill College senior Todd Shigo (Naples, Maine/Lake Region) has been selected to participate in the 2010 New England Intercollegiate Soccer League (NEISL) Senior All-Star Game. The top seniors from NCAA Divisions I and II teams in New England will face off Sunday at Harvard University at 3:00 p.m.

Shigo totaled one goal and four assists this season as the Skyhawks' center midfielder, and earned his first career selection to the Northeast-10 All-Conference Team. In his top scoring performance of the year, he notched a goal and an assist to lead Stonehill to a 2-0 upset victory over regionally-ranked Le Moyne College during the final weekend of the season. The Skyhawks earned the seventh seed in the NE-10 Men's Soccer Championship to make their first postseason appearance since 1999.

Shigo concludes his senior season having appeared in every game for Stonehill during his four-year career.

Stonehill fell 2-1 to Southern Connecticut State University in the NE-10 quarterfinals, finishing the season 7-8-2 overall.
