Junior forward led Stonehill to first postseason appearance since 1999

EASTON, Mass. (November 16, 2010) – Stonehill College junior Michael White (Lisbon, N.H./Lisbon Regional) has been selected to the Daktronics All-East Region men's soccer second team, as determined by a vote of sports information directors in the East Region.

White, who earns his first career All-East Region selection, led the Northeast-10 Conference with nine goals and 22 points during the regular season, earning second team All-Conference honors and helping Stonehill qualify for their first postseason appearance since 1999.

During the final week of the season, White scored twice as the team went 2-0-1 down the stretch, including netting the game-winning first strike in a 2-0 upset of regionally-ranked Le Moyne. He notched two multi-goal games, scoring a double in a 4-3 win over American International College and recording two goals and an assist to beat UMass Lowell 4-0. White also converted a penalty kick for the eventual game-winner in Stonehill's 2-1 victory over Saint Anselm College, their first win over the Hawks since 2004.

Stonehill fell 2-1 to Southern Connecticut State University in the NE-10 quarterfinals, finishing the season 7-8-2 overall.
