Played in 11 contests, starting the final three of the year. Had
one goal on the season for two points. Scored in a 3-3 draw with
Northeast-10 regular season co-champion UMass-Lowell. Had eight
shots on the year.
2007:
Started eight of 18 matches played. Registered 10 shots, seven on
goal. Had an early goal in Stonehill's 4-1 loss to LeMoyne.
2006:
Started 18 of 18 matches for the Skyhawks. Recorded two assists for
as many points.
High School:
2006 graduate of South Kingston High School. Four-time
letterwinner, serving as captain senior year. Won letters for
basketball and baseball, serving as captain for both teams senior
year. Named to the first team all-division in soccer his senior
year. Member of the state finalist team in 2003 and 2004. His team
was ranked nationally seventh in 2006, eleventh in 2005. Recipient
of the School Leadership Award in 2006.
Personal:
Born on November 27, 1987 in Fairfax, Va. Son of Edward and
Bonnie Irzyk of Wakefield, R.I. He has two siblings, Krysten (22)
and Adam (19). Double-major in Chemistry and Econmics at the
college. Aspires to become a dentist. His father, Edward Irzyk,
played baseball at Assumption College. His favorite team is the
Boston Celtics.
