New Haven, Conn. – The Owls scored early and scored late on their way to a 5-0 victory over the Skyhawks on Wednesday night to drop Stonehill to 4-7-2 overall and 1-7-1 in NE-10 play.

SCSU wasted little time in getting on the board as Paul Templeton headed home a cross from Ancil Farrier for an early 1-0 lead less than 10 minutes into the game.

The Skyhawks again allowed a quick goal in the beginning of the second have as freshman Daniel Goldberg scored his second goal of the season just two minutes into the period.

SCSU kept on the pressure, as Templeton scored his second goal of the game in the 72nd off a pass from Jeremy Tavares, five the Owls a three goal lead.

Two minutes later, Djordje Jankovic tacked on another SCSU goal and Farrier concluded the scoring in the 78th minute off a Jankovic corner.

Junior keeper Brian Guerrini (Glastonbury, Conn.) tallied six saves in the loss for the Skyhawks, who managed just one shot on goal in each half.
