COLCHESTER, Vt.-- Goals by junior Yoshikazu Ishii (Tokyo, Japan) and freshman Chris Omaggio (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) lifted Saint Michael's to a 2-0 Northeast-10 Conference men's soccer victory over Stonehill Saturday afternoon at Doc Jacobs Field.

Ishii gave the host Purple Knights (8-3-3, 4-3-2 Northeast-10) the only goal they would need 15:27 into the match when he converted a pass from fellow junior Matt Healy (Gilmanton, N.H.), and Omaggio provided an insurance marker in the 73rd minute of action when he took a feed from sophomore Scott Hinman (New Hartford, Conn.) to close out the scoring.

Junior Tim Williamson (Barrington, R.I.) picked up his fifth shutout win in goal with a pair of saves for Saint Michael's, while freshman Brian Guerrini (Glastonbury, Conn.) made four stops in net for the visiting Skyhawks (5-9, 2-8 Northeast-10) as the Purple Knights outshot Stonehill by an 18-8 margin.

Stonehill hosts Bloomfield in a non-league match on Monday afternoon at Skyhawk Field beginning at 4:00 p.m., while Saint Michael's heads to Manchester, N.H. on Wednesday afternoon to take on Southern New Hampshire in a Northeast-10 match that begins at 4:00 p.m.
