SMITHFIELD, R.I.-- Goals by freshman Matthew Brown (North Easton, Mass.) and senior Sam Grande (Herkimer, N.Y.) lifted Bryant to a 2-0 Northeast-10 Conference men's soccer victory over Stonehill Tuesday afternoon at Bulldog Stadium.

Brown converted a feed from junior Mike Gargiulo (North Branford, Conn.) in the 19th minute of play to give the host Bulldogs (6-3-3, 4-3-3 Northeast-10) the only tally they would need, and Grande's unassisted marker with 9:18 remaining in the match closed out the scoring for the afternoon.

Senior Alex Bissas (Harpswell, Maine) picked up the shutout win in goal for Bryant with four saves on the day, while freshman Brian Guerrini (Glastonbury, Conn.) made 13 stops in net for the visiting Skyhawks (5-8, 2-7 Northeast-10) as the Bulldogs outshot Stonehill by a 20-5 margin for the match.

Stonehill heads to Colchester, Vt. on Saturday afternoon to take on Saint Michael's in a Northeast-10 outing that begins at Noon, while Bryant travels to North Andover, Mass. on Saturday afternoon to take on Merrimack in a Northeast-10 contest that begins at 2:30 p.m.
