NORTH ANDOVER, Mass.-- Sophomore Matt Dubois (Dracut, Mass.) and freshman Tiago Dalboni (Medford, Mass.) each scored a pair of goals to lift Merrimack to a 6-1 Northeast-10 Conference men’s soccer victory over Stonehill Sunday afternoon at Warrior Field.

Penalty kick conversions by Dalboni and sophomore Martin Gabadian (Montevideo, Uruguay), sandwiched around a Dubois tally, gave the host Warriors (5-2, 3-0 Northeast-10) a 3-0 advantage at the break, and Merrimack scored three times in a 3:48 span early in the second half to close out their scoring in receiving goals from Dalboni, Dubois and junior Donnie Aylward (Groveland, Mass.). The visiting Skyhawks (2-3-1, 1-2 Northeast-10) got on the board in the 68th minute of play when senior Daniel Paige (Redding, Conn.) converted a pass from freshman Daniel Holley (Manorville, N.Y.) for his second goal of the season to close out the scoring for the match.

Dalboni, Dubois, Gabadian and freshman David Josephs (Mattapan, Mass.) each notched single assists on the day for Merrimack, as senior Ted Kakambouras (Melrose, Mass.) picked up the win in goal for the hosts without having to make a save in 72-plus minutes of action. Senior Chad Etting (Plymouth, Conn.) made one save in net in 59-plus minutes of play for Stonehill, while freshman Danny Kerl (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) made three saves in his collegiate debut for the visitors as the Warriors outshot the Skyhawks by a 16-3 margin for the contest.

Stonehill hosts Southern Connecticut in a Northeast-10 outing on Wednesday afternoon at Skyhawk Field beginning at 4:00 p.m., while Merrimack hosts American International in a Northeast-10 match on Wednesday afternoon at Warrior Field that begins at 3:30 p.m.
