EASTON, Mass.-- Senior Mariel Lako (Rochester, N.Y.) notched a goal and an assist to lead LeMoyne to a 3-0 Northeast-10 Conference men’s soccer victory over Stonehill Tuesday afternoon at Skyhawk Field.

The two teams played a scoreless first half before freshman Brandon Morse (Lima, Ohio) gave the visiting Dolphins (8-3-2, 6-3-1 Northeast-10) the only goal they would need 24 seconds into the second half (his first collegiate marker), and Lako extended LeMoyne’s lead in the 55th minute on a feed from sophomore Eric Macias (Silver Spring, Md.). Sophomore Steve Blackwell (Owego, N.Y.) closed out the scoring for the visitors in the 74th minute when he converted a pass from Lako.

Senior Tim Mann (Silver Spring, Md.) picked up his sixth shutout win of the season in goal for LeMoyne with a three save effort, while senior Chad Etting (Plymouth, Conn.) also made three stops in net for the host Skyhawks (4-8-1, 3-6 Northeast-10) as the Dolphins outshot Stonehill by a 14-8 margin for the match.

Stonehill travels to Springfield, Mass. on Saturday afternoon to take on American International in a Northeast-10 outing that begins at Noon, while LeMoyne hosts Southern New Hampshire in a Northeast-10 match on Saturday afternoon in Syracuse, N.Y. beginning at 2:30 p.m.
