Garry Hebert enters his fourth season as head men's ice hockey coach. During the past three seasons, Stonehill has advanced to the conference semifinals each season, making an appearance in the title game in 2008-09. Previously, Hebert spent two years as associate coach, helping lead the Skyhawks to their first Northeast-10 Conference championship in the 2006-07 season.

In Hebert's first season at the helm, Stonehill finished 12-11-2 for a third-place finish in the NE-10. Three players were named to the All-Conference squad, including Mike Manna, who was named the conference's Goaltender and Co-Freshman of the Year. The Skyhawks followed with a 10-13-1 season in 2008-09, and advanced to the conference championship game after postseason victories over Franklin Pierce and Saint Anselm.

Most recently, the 2009-10 Skyhawks finished 10-16-1 overall, ending the season in the NE-10 semifinals. Senior captain Peter Roundy was named to the All-Conference team, and freshman Dana Borges and Chris Gorovitz earned All-Rookie honors.

Hebert, who brings over 30 years of experience in hockey, has served as a consultant to NHL and Olympic athletes as the owner of the World Academy of Hockey. He coached at Essex High School, leading the team to multiple state championship titles and a national top-ten ranking, and earned a Coach of the Year award. Hebert played Division I college hockey at the University of Vermont.

Hebert and his wife Michele reside in Rockland, Mass. Their two sons, Derek (class of 2008) and Tyler (2011), are both Stonehill student-athletes, Derek in track & field and Tyler in soccer.
