Seoane, Schoen Earn NE10 Weekly Honors

Stonehill Ice Hockey sophomore forward Mike Seoane and senior goalie Matthew Schoen were awarded weekly honors by the NE10 for their performances over the last week. Seoane was named Player of the Week after having a hand in each of the Skyhawks’ three NE10 wins this week. He scored a goal in a 6-4 win over Saint Anselm and followed that up with two points - a goal and an assist - in a 4-1 win over Post and then another helper in a 5-1 win over the Eagles. He combined for four points to lead the Skyhawks this week as well as a plus-4 on the ice. Schoen was named Goaltender of the Week after he led the Skyhawks to three NE10 victories for six points this week. The senior let up six goals for a 2.00 goals against average including giving up a goal in each of the two games against Post. He totaled 119 saves and a .952 save percentage. Stonehill has gone on to win four of the last five games.
