EASTON, Mass. (January 29, 2018) – Stonehill College men's ice hockey freshman forward Charles Page was named Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week after posting back-to-back wins against Post University.

The freshman scored his sixth goal of the season against the Eagles in a 4-3 victory on Friday night in Shelton, Connecticut. In the first period, Post opened up the game with the first goal and Stonehill scored the equalizer a few minutes later. The Eagles then scored two goals in under three minutes and Page's goal cut the deficit to one at 16:44, 3-2. The Skyhawks were then able to continue fighting back in the third period, as Billy Palmer stopped 14 shots in the third frame to hold onto a 4-3 victory.

In the second game on Saturday against Post, Stonehill opened with a 2-0 lead, where scored his second power play goal of the season and he assisted in the second goal of the game, but the Eagles responded with two of their own to tie the game at two, 2-2. The Skyhawks' offensive attack saw five goals in the second period, as the Eagles were only able to get one on the board for a four-goal deficit, 7-3. The freshman chipped in his eighth goal of the season at 18:07 in the second frame, and Stonehill was able hold on in the third with one more goal to cap off an 8-3 victory.

Both wins were the Skyhawk's first and second road victories. Page has now combined for eight goals and five assists this season for 13 points. The Winthrop, Massachusetts native is ranked fourth in the NE10 with eight goals and 11th with 13 points, while he is second on the team in goals and fourth on the team in points.

Stonehill (6-10-1, 1-6-1 NE10) hosts Saint Anselm College for the final game of the three-game series tonight at Foxboro Sports Center with a puck drop at 7:00 p.m.
