Cassidy recorded his seventh goal in 3-1 conference victory over Assumption College. The win tied the series against the Greyhounds. The freshman capitalized on a power play opportunity after crashing the cage from the right circle off a pass from Brian Higgins (Milton, Mass./Proctor Academy) at 8:53 in the second period.

The Wilmington, Delaware native also kicked off the Skyhawks scoring against UMass Dartmouth with a tally at 14:36 in the first period with a helper from Jack Hall (Shelburne, Vt./Proctor Academy) to even the game at one.

Previously, Cassidy earned Rookie of the Week as he recorded the Skyhawk's first goal in the opening round of the Boston Landing Collegiate Invitational against Nichols College with a goal at 1:01 in the first period. The goal was assisted by Michael Seibold (Reading, Mass./Tilton School), as Cassidy recorded his fourth of the season.

In the second round of the invitational, Cassidy once again found the back of the cage, at 4:24 in the first period, jumpstarting the Skyhawks scoring. Stonehill went on to defeat Becker College 4-3, as Cassidy tallied his fifth goal of the season with assists from classmates Jack Hall (Shelburne, Vt./Proctor Academy) and Cameron Wright (West Dummerston, Vt./Springfield Pics-USPHL Premier).

Stonehill (6-11-3, 3-3-0 NE10) is back in action on Wednesday, January 25 as it travels to Hooksett, N.H. to take on NE10 rival Southern New Hampshire University for a 7:30 p.m. puck drop. The Skyhawks aim to take the best of three series after their 3-2 victory on November 7 against the Penmen.
