Wright Earns NE-10 Weekly Honors

Freshman Cameron Wright named NE-10 Rookie of the Week

EASTON, Mass. (November 1, 2016) – Stonehill College men's ice hockey freshman Cameron Wright (West Dummerston, Vt./Vermont Academy) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference's Rookie of the Week for the first time of his career season, the league office announced Monday.

In the Skyhawks opening weekend of play, the freshman assisted the team in tallying its first victory by recording his first-career game-winning goal. Stonehill knotted its first contest against Lebanon Valley College in the first period, 1-1, and then the Dutchmen jumped ahead in the second with a one goal lead, 2-1. Stonehill fought back in the final period with two goals, including the Skyhawks first power play goal and the game winner by Wright.

Stonehill (1-0-1, 0-0-0 NE-10) is back in action Thursday, November 3 as travels to Holderness, N.H. to face Plymouth State University at Hanaway Rink for a 6:00 p.m. start time.
