EASTON, Mass. (December 11, 2012) – Stonehill College has swept the Northeast-10 Conference weekly awards for ice hockey following a 3-0-0 week the league office announced this afternoon.

Freshman forward Dan Graham (Billerica, Mass./Williston Northampton) has earned both Player and Rookie of the Week honors from the Northeast-10, while sophomore Chris Tasiopoulos (Norwell, Mass./Thayer Academy) has been named the NE-10's Goaltender of the Week for their efforts in helping lead Stonehill to three wins last week.

Graham, who earns Rookie of the Week honors for the second time to go with his first Player of the Week selection, totaled five points last week with a team-best four goals and an assist. Two of his four goals were game-winners, spearheading a Stonehill offense that featured seven players with four or more points for the week.

Graham opened the week by scoring the gamewinner in the Skyhawks 6-4 victory over Framingham State University on Tuesday. He followed that up with the gamewinning tally and an assist in Wednesday's 6-1 triumph at Suffolk University before closing out the week with a pair of goals wrapped around the first intermission just 1:40 apart on the scoreboard in Saturday's 4-3 overtime triumph against NE-10 rival Saint Michael's College.

Graham, also named the NE-10 Rookie of the Week on November 20, has appeared in 11 of 15 games in his freshman season for Stonehill and shares the team lead for goals by freshmen with five to go with two assists for seven points. The seven points are ninth on the team and second for Skyhawk freshmen. His two gamewinning goals share the team lead. Graham has played all four Northeast-10 contests to date and is tied for second on the team with four points with three goals and an assist in Conference play. Graham is tied for the Northeast-10 lead for gamewinning goals and also ranks third for freshman scoring and seventh overall for goals scored.

Tasiopoulos registered 35 saves in Tuesday's 6-4 victory over Framingham State. He followed that up by stopping 23 of 24 shots on goal the next night in a 6-1 triumph at Suffolk and then registered 40 saves, including 32 combined between the second and third period, in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win against Saint Michael's.

Tasiopoulos has seen the majority of time in the Stonehill goal this season, posting a 7-7-0 record overall, with a 3.47 goals against average and .900 save percentage while averaging 28.8 saves per game in 778:37 over 14 starts. He is 3-0-0 with a 2.20 GAA and .942 save percentage over three starts in NE-10 games. Tasiopoulos ranks second among NE-10 leaders for winning percentage while ranking third for save percentage.
