Stonehill Will “Pink the Rink” For Cancer Awareness

Saturday's game dedicated to support for breast cancer awareness and research

EASTON, Mass. (February 10, 2011) – The Stonehill College men's ice hockey team will "Pink the Rink" in support of breast cancer awareness during Saturday's home game at Foxboro Sports Center. The puck drops against Northeast-10 Conference rival Southern New Hampshire University at 4:45 p.m.

Fans who join the Skyhawks in wearing pink as a symbol of support will receive free admission to the game. Donations will be accepted throughout the evening and will benefit Susan G. Komen For the Cure, dedicated to creating a network of fundraising, research, and empowerment in the fight against breast cancer.

In addition, the Skyhawks will support fundraising efforts with a raffle for prizes including Bruins and Red Sox tickets, and gift cards to local restaurants.

Admission is $7 for adults, $4 for seniors, and free for Stonehill students and children under 12. Stonehill (4-14-1, 2-4-1 NE-10) will play their next three games at home as they close out the regular season this month.
