High School:
2009 graduate of Canton High School. Lettered in hockey and served as team captain. Two-time Hockomock League All-Star. Earned Hockomock League MVP honors. Was a Boston Globe, Boston Herald, and Patriot Ledger All-Scholastic selection. Played in the Massachusetts Division 2 state championship game as a senior. Also lettered in baseball and was a Hockomock League All-Star selection.

Born August 21, 1991, Norwood, Mass. Son of David and Dawn Rooney of Canton, Mass. Has a brother, Kevin (17). Father, David, played hockey at UMass Boston. Enjoys playing golf. Majoring in business. Aspires to win the NE-10 Championship with Stonehill. Is a Boston Bruins fan.
