Live Stats:

Stonehill enters the semifinals after dispatching Franklin Pierce 5-0 in the quarterfinals, for their first shutout in over three years. Goaltender Mike Manna (Framingham, Mass.) played all 60 minutes and stopped 24 shots for the victory.  Five different players scored in the Skyhawk win, including senior defenseman James Florentino (West Roxbury, Mass.) and NE-10 All-Rookie selection Andrew Diozzi (Belmont, Mass.) who both had a goal and an assist. Junior Pete Roundy (Simsbury, Conn.) and freshmen Pat Greene (Weymouth, Mass.) both added two helpers.

This is the second meeting between St. Anselm and the Skyhawks as they matched up six days ago.  In the game, the Hawks jumped out to an early 2-0 lead but Stonehill was able to cut the lead in half at the end of the second period.  In the final stanza however, St. Anselm was too much, scoring twice more to put the game out of reach.

The Skyhawks last victory over Hawks was in the NE-10 Conference Championship two years ago when then freshman Zachary Cantin (Saugus, Mass.) tipped home the puck in the second overtime of the decisive mini game to take the championship series 2-1 and claim their first Northeast-10 Conference Championship.
