BRIDGEWATER, Mass.-- Junior Matt Curran (Scarborough, Maine) and freshman Pete Roundy (Simsbury, Conn.) each scored a pair of goals and added an assist for three points in leading Stonehill to a 6-3 ECAC Northeast ice hockey victory over Framingham State Tuesday evening at the Bridgewater Ice Arena.

The two teams traded first period markers before the host Skyhawks (7-10-1, 5-8-1 ECAC Northeast) netted three goals in less than four minutes midway through the second stanza, as freshman Chris Rogers (Westford, Mass.) gave Stonehill the lead for good at the 6:45 mark before Roundy and Curran added tallies in a 2:33 span to extend the hosts' edge to 4-1. Senior Ben Colby's (Newbury, Mass.) power play marker with 7:31 remaining in the period enabled the visiting Rams (2-18-1, 0-12-1 ECAC Northeast) to slice their deficit to 4-2, but Curran's second goal of the period with 33 seconds to play in the middle stanza gave the Skyhawks a 5-2 lead after 40 minutes of play, and the two teams once again traded tallies in the final period to account for the final score.

Junior Chase Feole (Windham, N.H.) accounted for the other goal of the night in the win for Stonehill, which also received a pair of assists off the stick of sophomore Brendan O'Brien (Braintree, Mass.) as well as single helpers from senior Evan Spencer (Billerica, Mass.), junior Brian Davis (Foxboro, Mass.) and sophomores Frank Amato (West Springfield, Mass.), James Florentino (West Roxbury, Mass.) and Paul Reissfelder (Plymouth, Mass.).

Junior Nicholas Glum (Bellingham, Mass.) netted a goal and an assist in the setback for Framingham State, which also received a goal off the stick of sophomore David Trantin (Odenton, Md.) as well as single assists from juniors Tim Richard (Leominster, Mass.), Stephen Butler (Dorchester, Mass.) and Jason Akstin (Bridgewater, Mass.), sophomore Kyle Hallett (Rocky Hill, Conn.) and freshman Jeremy Schmidt (Huffman, Tex.).

Senior Josh Green (Mendon, Mass.) picked up the win in goal for Stonehill with a 33-save effort, while sophomore Matthew Trusz (Ludlow, Mass.) made 40 stops in net for Framingham State as the Skyhawks outshot the Rams by a 46-36 margin for the contest.

Stonehill hosts Salve Regina in an ECAC Northeast outing on Thursday evening at the Bridgewater Ice Arena beginning at 8:20 p.m., while Framingham State hosts UMass Dartmouth in an ECAC Northeast match-up at Loring Arena in Framingham, Mass. on Saturday evening beginning at 7:15 p.m.
