HOOKSETT, N.H.-- Senior Martin Stehl (Goldbar, Wash.) made 16 saves in goal as five different players each netted a goal and an assist to lead Southern New Hampshire to a 6-1 Northeast-10 Conference ice hockey victory over Stonehill Wednesday evening at The Ice Den.

The host Penmen (5-2-3, 2-0 Northeast-10) trailed 1-0 after 20 minutes of action before netting three goals in each of the final two periods, as seniors Chris White (Naperville, Ill.) and Brent Bousquet (East Longmeadow, Mass.), junior Ken Burlage (Dover, N.H.) and sophomores Steve Wardynski (Malden, Mass.) and Joshua Douglas (Mississauga, Ont.) each notched a goal and an assist in the triumph. Freshman Dave Carroll (Arlington, Mass.) accounted for the other score of the night for Southern New Hampshire, which also received single assists off the sticks of senior Justin Hurley (Peabody, Mass.) and sophomores Matt Lemay (Biddeford, Maine) and Evan Williams (Gilford, N.H.).

Junior Matt Pollara (Plymouth, Mass.) netted the lone goal of the evening for the visiting Skyhawks (3-6, 1-1 Northeast-10) on feeds from sophomore Anthony Zanetti (Ludlow, Mass.) and senior Brian Lewis (Cohasset, Mass.) 16:09 into the contest to stake Stonehill to its 1-0 edge after the first period of play. Senior Billy Petrucci (East Bridgewater, Mass.) made 31 saves in goal in the setback for the Skyhawks, as Southern New Hampshire outshot Stonehill by a 37-17 margin for the contest.

Stonehill travels to Worcester, Mass. on Saturday evening to take on Assumption in a non-league contest that faces off at 8:30 p.m., while Southern New Hampshire hosts Castleton State in a non-league outing on Tuesday evening at The Ice Den that begins at 7:30 p.m.
