MANCHESTER, N.H. (November 20, 2018) – Saint Anselm College, ranked No. 4 in the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division II and D2SIDA Top 25 media poll outscored Stonehill College 15-1 over the final five minutes of the first half and didn't look back in notching a 92-66 victory in Northeast-10 Conference men's basketball action at Stoutenburgh Gymnasium tonight.

Sophomore Chris Paul led three Saint Anselm players in double-figures with a game-high 26 points on 8-of-15 shooting, converting 10-of-13 free-throws, to go with nine rebounds and two assists. Classmate Gustav Suhr-Jessen added 19 points on 8-of-10 shooting, connecting on both three-point attempts, with nine rebounds and two assists, while senior Tim Guers totaled 18 points, nine boards, six assists and two steals.

Junior Will Moreton paced Stonehill with 16 points on 7-of-16 shooting, eight rebounds and two assists. Senior Joel Berroa was the only other Skyhawk in double-figures with 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting, draining both three-point tries, and grabbing two boards. Junior Dan Largey and freshman Josh Mack each chipped in nine points, a season-high for Mack to go along with four rebounds and two assists.

Stonehill grabbed an early lead and was up four (13-9) after a jumper by sophomore Owen Chose just over six minutes into the game. Saint Anselm followed with the next ten points to grab a six-point edge (19-13) after a three-point play from Guers four minutes later. He had six points in all during the spurt, draining a three-pointer from beyond the arc as well.

Twitty stopped the run initially with a three-pointer to draw Stonehill back within three (19-16), but sophomore Spencer Cline and freshman Miles Tention followed with back to back triples to stretch the Saint Anselm lead to nine (25-16) just past the midway point of the half.

Stonehill was still within four (27-23) with a Chose basket with 7:32 remaining in the half, and the Skyhawks deficit was seven (32-25) after a Largey bucket with five minutes left, but the visitors would score just one more point and was held without a field goal the remainder of the half. Saint Anselm, meanwhile, outscored Stonehill 15-1 over the closing 4:21 of the frame to take a 21-point halftime lead (47-26). Guers finished the half with 17 points, including seven during the closing run, while Paul had 12 to lead the Hawks.

Stonehill wouldn't close within 19 points the rest of the way, with Saint Anselm leading by as much as 37 (77-40) after a Paul layup midway through the second half.
