Fredericktown, Ohio, senior is program's fifth two-time first team honoree
NE10 Men's Basketball Postseason Honors Announcement
EASTON, Mass. (February 23, 2017) – Stonehill College senior forward Ryan Logan (Fredericktown, Ohio/Fredericktown) has earned a spot on the All-Northeast-10 Conference first team as selected by the NE10's 15 men's basketball head coaches the league announced today.
Logan, who earns All-NE10 honors for the third straight year with his second straight selection to the first team, is the fifth student-athlete in Stonehill history to earn multiple first team All-Conference honors and the first since A.J. Rudowitz '10 collected back-to-back first team honors in 2009 and 2010. Logan, an All-NE10 third team selection as a sophomore, is the program's fourth three-time All-Conference selection and first since Stonehill and NE10 Hall of Famer Joe Cronin '92 in 1990 (2nd team), 1991 (1st) and 1992 (1st).
Logan, named to the Bevo Francis Award "watch list" by Small College Basketball earlier this season, started all 27 games for Stonehill and led the team with 17.8 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game, shooting 50.1-percent from the field, including 35.2-percent from three-point distance (31-for-88), while converting 68.3% of his free-throws (69-101) in a team-high 31.1 minutes per game. He ninth among NE10 scoring leaders, 14th in assists per game and 15th in rebounding.
Logan scored in double-figures in 23 of Stonehill's 27 games this season, including a streak of 19-straight games, with 12 20-plus point games, while adding a team-high four double-doubles. He scored a season-high 29 points against Saint Anselm College on February 15 and grabbed a season-best 12 rebounds in win over the Hawks on November 19. Logan dished out a season-high eight assists in a win at Pace University on January 14, leading the Skyhawks in assists from the post 13 times this season, and an impressive 42 games over his career with the team posting a 27-15 record in those contests.
Logan, an All-District second team honoree as a junior by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), started all 115 of his collegiate career, finishing ranked fifth on the program's career scoring list with 1,757 points and tenth with 135 three-point field goals. He averaged 15.3 points per game over his career as the team's top scorer all four years, ranking among the top ten in the NE10 for scoring, rebounding and assists as a junior – the only player in the league to do so last winter. Logan also totaled 822 rebounds, 359 assists, 103 steals and 47 blocked shots over his career.
Logan scored in double-figures in 93 of his 115 career games, posting three career 30-plus point games, including a career-best 36 points in an NE10 Quarterfinal win at Adelphi University in 2016, with 30 career 20-plus point games. He posted 24 career double-doubles, including a team-high 11 his junior season, grabbing a career-high 20 boards against Saint Anselm in November 2015. Logan dished out a career-best nine assists in the Skyhawks NCAA East Regional semifinal win over Southern New Hampshire University last March.
Stonehill wrapped up its 2016-17 season with a 15-12 record overall, including 10-11 in the NE10.
