EASTON, Mass. (December 12, 2016) – Stonehill College senior forward Ryan Logan (Fredericktown, Ohio/Fredericktown) has been named the Spalding/Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week by the league office this afternoon.

Logan, who earns the weekly recognition for the first time this season, but fifth time for his career, led Stonehill to a 2-0 week with wins over nationally-ranked Southern New Hampshire University and rival Bentley University. He averaged a double-double with 22.5 points and ten rebounds to go with four assists per game, while shooting 60-percent from the field (21-for-35) for the week. Logan notched his second double-double of the season (22nd career) in Wednesday's 81-68 win over Southern New Hampshire, ranked 18th in the D2SIDA Top 25 poll and 23rd in the NABC Division II poll, handing the Penmen their first loss of the season with 21 points and 11 rebounds, adding five assists and a steal as he made 10-of-18 shots from the floor. He followed that up with a season-high matching 24 points on 11-of-27 shooting, nine boards and three assists in Saturday's 82-80 win over Bentley.

Logan, named a preseason All-American by The Sporting News and Basketball Times, leads Stonehill and ranks tenth in the NE10 with 17.4 points per game, to go with a team-high 7.3 rebounds (12th NE10), 3.3 assists (16th) and 1.3 steals (11th) in 29.8 minutes per game over ten starts this season. He is shooting 54-percent from the field (15th), including 50% (11-for-22) from three-point distance (2nd), and 69.2% (27-39) from the free-throw line. Logan established his season-high with 24 points in a 97-86 win at Saint Anselm College on November 19, adding a season-best 12 rebounds for his first double-double of the year, which he matched on Saturday against Bentley, and has netted 20-plus points five times this season.

Logan, a two-time All-NE10 selection with first team honors last season, is currently ranked 11th all-time at Stonehill with 1,451 career points – just 23 shy of cracking the top ten. In 98 career games played, he has totaled 718 rebounds, 293 assists, 91 steals and 39 blocked shots. He is shooting 44.9-percent from the field for his career, including 37.8% from three-point distance, and is a 70.9% shooter from the free-throw line. His 115 career three-pointers are within reach of cracking the top ten all-time in program history.

Logan was the only player in the NE10 to rank in the top ten among league leaders for scoring, rebounds and assists per game as a junior when he earned NABC All-East District second team honors. He was also named to the All-Tournament teams for the NCAA Division II East Regional and NE10 Championships last season and was a third team All-NE10 selection as a sophomore after collecting NE10 All-Rookie Team status as a freshman.

Stonehill (6-4, 4-3 NE10), ranked ninth in this week's D2SIDA East Region poll, closes out its first semester schedule tonight with a non-conference battle at The College of Saint Rose, ranked fifth in the region, at 7 p.m. The Skyhawks will then have a 17-day break for finals and the holidays before resuming play on Thursday, December 29, at Georgian Court University at 1 p.m. Stonehill returns home for a New Year's Eve matchup with the University of Bridgeport, ranked sixth in the region, at Merkert Gymnasium on Saturday, December 31, at 1 p.m.
