Senior preseason All-American Ryan Logan (Fredericktown, Ohio/Fredericktown) led Stonehill with his first double-double of the season (21st career) as he posted season-highs of 24 points and 12 rebounds to go with a season-best six assists. Logan made 9-of-15 shots from the field, draining his lone three-pointer, and converting 5-of-6 free-throws for the afternoon.

Logan led four Stonehill players in double-figures as junior Isaiah Bess (LaGrange, Maine/Hampden Academy) netted a season-high 20 points on 7-of-14 shooting, including 4-for-7 from three-point distance, with two rebounds and two assists. Stonehill trailed by four (22-18) after two Saint Anselm free-throws by junior Kyle Green (Woodbury Heights, New York/Camden Catholic) nine minutes into the game. The Skyhawks followed with a 16-2 run over the next four minutes to open a ten point lead (34-24) after Moreton converted a four-point play with 7:31 remaining in the half. Moreton and Bess both buried a pair of threes during the run, with Bess adding a dunk along the way. Moreton answered a Green basket with another triple to push the advantage to 11 (37-26) two minutes later.

Stonehill carried a ten point lead into halftime (47-37) and quickly extended it to 12 early in the second half. Teams largely traded baskets throughout much of the opening ten minutes of the second half, with Saint Anselm pulling within ten (77-67) after a layup from senior Chris Braley (Newport, Maine/Phillips-Exeter) with 7:50 remaining, only to be answered by two Logan free-throws and a Bess three around a Guers layup to restore a 13 point cushion (82-69) with 6:43 to play.

Saint Anselm was back within eight (82-74) after a Taggert three with 5:37 still to go, but Stonehill answered with eight straight points to open a 16 point lead (90-74) after a three-point play by Bess with 4:13 left. The Hawks made one last push to within nine (91-82) after two Guers free-throws with 1:44 remaining, but Stonehill scored six of the last eight points the rest of the way to seal the win in the rematch of last year's NCAA East Regional final that the Skyhawks won 82-76 in overtime to advance to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight for the third time in program history.
